Amy is a 2012 graduate of the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. Prior to her masters degree in Chinese medicine she worked as a massage practitioner for 20 years. After graduation from OCOM, she spent 2 months in Nepal with the Acupuncture Relief Project working in a clinic in Chapagoan, on the outskirts of Kathmandu, providing basic health care and acupuncture to villagers.
Upon return from Nepal she started practicing acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine in her clinic. She also periodically offers a 6 to 8 week walk-in clinic on Monday nights (call for dates and details). This is a group model of acupuncture similar to the one utilized in Nepal. Amy finds great value in this model because it offers healing to many while being cost effective as well.
Amy is often guided by instinct and intuition along with knowledge in her approach to healing. She uses needles, moxabustion, herbs, cupping, massage and nutritional counseling in her treatments.
